Apparently Alex is Launching a new and different kind of training system and has pencilled it ‘Marketing With Alex 3′ The details are as of yet to be confirmed, but it’s a very different approach to the last two methods of coaching. This time Alex has re-worked his model and taken advice from Rich Schefren (AKA the Guru to the Guru’s) and brought out a very different and diverse training that literally starts from watching him ‘over the shoulder’ go from zero to hero.

Exciting stuff, can’t wait until more details are released…

Have just installed a plug-in that I was ‘ given’ by Alex Goad. So what is it?

Quite simply it’s a WP plugin that automatically, and systematically get more links to each and every blog post you create. Either manually, or automatically.

It was designed to be used with stand-alone wordpress.org blogs. So you would need to have wordpress hosted on your server, or hosting account.

At the time or writing it is available as free download, but in the email I received from him it says that it will be $67 in the near future.

This pasted from my email today…

”

It's a custom SEO plug-in we built that gets you backlinks
automatically.

We were going to sell it for $67 but decided to just give it to
you instead to show you what we got coming.

Go grab it here, optin and follow the presentations that will be
posted on the blog.

This is a game changer, go now and download it.

There is a link on the right-hand side of this page you can download it from.
Hurry while it’s still free. It’s it’s not free by the time you get there – Sorry!

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry…. Go now to the link —–>

Yeah, I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted here.

Why? Well…apart from the usual distractions of life going on. I’ve kind of had a realisation a distillation of thought if you will. It came from reading posts on ‘Guru’ and demi-guru blogs from newbies who had been ‘burned by the guru’s’ and were looking for a true ‘Mentor’.

We all have heard the saying that when the student is ready, the teacher (mentor) will appear. Well if you haven’t it would kinda sound wisened and believable. Thing is that wisdom didn’t allow, or see coming, the psychology students who couldn’t wait to test out their new found psychological triggers and make their name in producing compelling and seductive website headlines and content.

It reminds me of a old riddle of irony “I’m a lawyer, I get paid to lie – why don’t you believe me?”

Anyway, I’ll be building this and other such thoughts into a long article / report / book… thing. The kind of thing I wish I had read before I got started on my way to feeling like a chrome ball in a pin-ball machine played by a flipping pin-ball maniac. (yes it’s a pun )

Articles are on hold for now, while I cook the book.

Ciao for now

On a completely different topic, was reading Rich Schefren’s blog today. “That which is most personal, is most general”

Stunningly simple sentence!

It means that the deepest, most personal struggles you are currently facing do not, in fact, make you unique. Instead these deep issues are actually what you share in common with others.

When I first started this blog, I didn’t know about this principle and didn’t detail my struggles and frustrations, thinking that nobody would be interested in them. With reflection after reading this sentence you realise that if had, Icould have helped some people. This is why books about how to overcome ‘beginners struggles’ are so popular.

WordPress Plugin – KeywordLuv!
Reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords in the link to their website, giving them improved anchor text.
Example

If they enter “Steve@the best bank” in the Name field, their comment will have:

Steve from the best bank Says:

rather than:

Steve@the best bank Says:

If they don’t enter the @ symbol, the anchor text will simply display as normal. For a live example, see the first comment below.
Why Is Anchor Text Important?

There are many articles about the value of having your keywords in the anchor text of backlinks to your site. This helps your site rank well for those keywords with the search engines, bringing you more traffic.

One source of backlinks are comments on DoFollow blogs, but the anchor text is normally your name. While this helps you rank well for your name, it’s practically worthless for your keywords. That’s why some commentators put keywords in the name field, but they risk being marked as spammers.

I understand people’s desire to get the best value from their link, but I’m tired of answering comments with “Hi Miami Hotels”. I’d like them to leave their name, without it effecting their keyword benefit. Enter KeywordLuv…

By using KeywordLuv (and a Dofollow plugin) you give your commentators better links, rewarding them and encouraging more people to comment.

Get it here

Had a bit of a realisation this morning, all I’ve been doing is updating this blog with stuff that isn’t of any real value to anyone who reads it or swings by. So, I’m going to write a useful free ebook and provide some informative articles for the categories section. First thing I’m going to be covering is ‘Article Marketing’ Although that will be in a day or two as I have to set up a squeeze page to give my book away and gather subscribers. Was watching an awsome interview the other day called the 3 hour profit plan with Jit Uppal and David Chamberlain and the one thing that Jit said that made so much sense was “Get a squeeze page up” I mean it’s all very well having a pop-over with an offer and a form, but where’s the incentive or the reason to be a subscriber from there? I need a page with some reasons and a call to action. So that’s what I’m going to get going on now.

Well we’re 14 days into 2010 and I have a feeling that this year is going to be refreshingly different. Not because of some New Year resolution or feign optimisim, but because I believe it. I have a some great ideas about what I want to achieve this year, both offline and online. The other day I was having a Skype text converation with Mark Terrel. Mark is also a student of Alex Jeffreys, though he has been a student longer than I have. From this conversation I learned that I really have been nieve. I’ve also been working quite hard…in the wrong direction. So I’m off to take Mark’s advice and write down the top 100 things I want to do in my life. As well as that I’m going to produce an Ebook that is more useful than the last one. With reflection, I wrote the last book as a topic that I hadn’t seen covered and thought would be useful. Since then I’ve thought that it more a book I wanted to write rather what other people wanted to read. As Always, will keep the blog posted.

Peace up
